I started dolling about five or six years ago. I came across a doll site by clicking on a link on a Sims extras site, thought it'd be cool to try it out myself, and now here I am years later still doing it. I'm primarily a pixel shader, though I can and do toolshade when I feel like it. I work in Photoshop and MS Paint. Generally in PS, since I'm a ctrl + z whore and the three-steps-back limit on Paint drives me insane.
I've been writing for considerably longer than five years, though I'm not sure when exactly I started piecing together narratives. The first thing I remember is writing an awful romance book while on vacation in Bangladesh, then tearing all the paper up and throwing it out the window when I was done. I type my stories now, but a lot of them do end up getting deleted. I'm just that sort of destructive artist, I suppose.
About the Site
Präkt began on August 16th, 2006. It was named by my brother, who said, "Call it Prakt, with two dots above the 'a'." To this day, I have no idea where he pulled the name from, but he doesn't pronounce it properly. It's almost like Pray-kt, but with a smooth transition from the 'a' to the '-kt'.This is by no means my first doll site, but it was the first one I actually finished and stuck with. The others are long-dead relics on Geocities, with dumb potato related names and crappy graphics. Präkt is better, don't go searching for the older ones. xD
